Mike is a thirty-year resident of San Diego who has over 28 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. He started with SuperShuttle in 1992 and then held various positions there. In 1994, when the company became Cloud 9 Shuttle, Mike was promoted to management in charge of Cashiering, Reservations and Customer Service. In 1999, he was promoted to Director of Operations. In addition to managing the company’s operations, Mike designed improved reservations & dispatching software, upgraded communications and created a safety-first culture using state-of-the-art technology which included Drive Cam and GPS tracking.
In 2002, Cloud 9 promoted him to General Manager. In addition to expanding Marketing & Sales through the internet, he was instrumental in transitioning Cloud 9 Shuttle from an employee driver model to Franchise Driver/ Owner Operator.
In 2007, SuperShuttle purchased Cloud 9. Mike played a critical role in this transition, and remained GM.
In 2020, when SuperShuttle was purchased by a “vulture” capital company, and dismantled, Mike came to work with us.
He is an active member of the San Diego business community participating in many local organizations and chambers. During his personal time, he enjoys woodworking.
